Hello! I am Nissa Cohen, Founder and Director of Apogee Omaha, a family leadership & education center. I am a wife & mom; a coach & educator; an entrepreneur & amateur homesteader. Along with my husband, Eric, an Omaha Firefighter, we are building a community based on reseeding the foundations of a free society by disrupting education for the entire family.

We are building Apogee Omaha because we’re not satisfied with the current status quo of the schooling system in America and we are unwilling to accept that status quo for our son, Cameron. We're affiliating with Apogee Strong to create a leadership-focused education that challenges young learners, and their entire family, to a true Hero's Journey - one where they will be encouraged to think critically, choose to do hard things, live a disciplined & character-driven life, and fail forward. One that helps them discover their Ikigai - their life's purpose - where their individual passions & gifts intersect with what the world needs and what they can make a living from.

Growing up, when I was faced with a challenge, obstacle, or something that needed to be fixed, my dad always told me to, “Find a way, or make one.”

This is our family making a way.
